The Bedrooms

Fairhaven has nine lovely bedrooms, with five rooms on the first floor and four rooms on the second floor. Eight of our bedrooms are en-suite and include single, double, king-size and twin rooms. Six of our rooms are now fully refurbished: our family room, two superior king-size rooms, both our single rooms and a double room. One of our single bedrooms has private shower room on the same floor and you'll find a comfy bathrobe in this room to save space when packing for your stay.

Each of our bedrooms has a colour television, hairdryer, comfy chairs or sofa, hospitality tray, clock radio and radiators with thermostatic controls. We have a fridge in the Guest Dining Room providing fresh milk, filtered water, yoghurts and fresh fruit.

An iron and ironing board are available on request and we can dry/air muddy and wet coats and boots overnight for you. We also have safe cycle storage.

All of the bedrooms are set towards the front of the house and have views either up The Common looking over the fields, across the moorland and woods towards Egton or down towards the Village Green and moors above Darnholm.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served between 8.30 and 9.00am each morning, in the dining room overlooking the moors.

Guests can choose a Full English breakfast including, sausage, bacon, eggs as you like them, tomato, beans and mushrooms... or if a full cooked breakfast is a little too much, we can offer your choice of eggs, beans or spaghetti on toast, a sausage or bacon sandwich or boiled egg and soldiers.

Or if you stay long enough, sample every combination above, as one of our guests did last Autumn! A selection of cereals, fruit and yoghurts is always available along with toast and preserves, fruit juice and hot drinks, including fruit and herbal teas.

We are always happy to cater for vegetarian diets, but would ask you to let us know when booking, of any special dietary requirements so that we can provide a suitably hearty breakfast for you.

Guests can request a packed lunch to keep them going whilst out on the moors and we are fully licensed should you work up a thirst for a Black Sheep... a glass of wine... a whisky, or indeed all of the above.
